Warranty refers manufacture’s promise to replace or repair the appliance if it develops any snag or stops working. The manufacturers will repair the appliance free of cost during that period and may even replace it with a fresh one if it is irreparable.

There may be different reasons for appliances to become malfunctioning. The primary one is always electrical problem. As all electronic appliances mostly run on electricity any problem in electric supply cause severe damage to the appliances. Short circuits or improper earthing are the most common electrical problems. One has to ensure that the electrical wiring and fittings are properly done before using the electronic home appliances.

Another reason for sudden break down is improper handling. Some people use panels and switches roughly which gradually leads to malfunctioning or stoppage. People need to educate themselves with the help of user manual and other online sources about operating procedures and maintenance routine before using any home appliance.

Manufacturers offer different types of home appliance warranty for their products depending on their quality and price. The most popular types are on site warranty, carry-in warranty, parts only warranty, replacement warranty, etc.

Under onsite home appliance warranty the vendor sends his technician to repair the defective appliance and rectify the appliance at customer places only. The customer need not take the defective appliance to the vendors’ service center. Thus he is saving the transportation cost and traveling time. If the appliance needs to be taken to the service center, they themselves do it. This is the most beneficial form for home appliance warranty to the customers as in most cases the problems are solved immediately and the appliance is put into work quickly.

If your manufacturer gives carry-in home appliance warranty to your appliances then it is your responsibility to take the appliance to the service center and pick them from there after the repairing. Under parts only warranty, the manufacture replaces the defective parts free of cost, but you have to pay the labor charges and other charges according to terms of the warranty agreement. Replacement warranty entitles you to get a new fresh appliance, in case the present one is found to be defective.

Whatever may be the type of home appliance warranty the user needs to read the fine print for the warranty agreement before purchasing any home appliance. It will save them from the time and money incase the appliance develops any problems.
