Sometime, the only form of back pain treatment for a back pain condition will be spine surgery. This is only in a minority of cases as most back pain problems are solved without surgery. Different back pain conditions call for different forms of surgery like discectomy, laminectomy and laminotomy, foraminotomy and spinal fusion. Then again, some doctors may prescribe physical therapy as a form of back pain treatment. This is effective in curing sprains, muscle spasms, strains, arthritis and other back pain problems.
