Italian cooking is among the most sought cuisine in the world. Italian dishes like Chicken Parmesan, Spaghetti, Meat Balls, Pasta Alfredo and Pizza are liked by people all over the world. In each major city one can find a good Italian restaurant serving these famous dishes.
Italian cooking ingredients are very simple, they use fresh fruits, vegetables, grains and fish with olive oil in most of their dishes or items and make delicious food out of that. Italian foods are very tasty, highly nutritious as they are made of seasonal natural ingredients.
Pizza is one of the most famous Italian traditional dishes. Italian Pizza was originated around 200 years ago and it was sold in the streets of Naples by street vendors for homeless people. Basil, garlic and olive oil are the main ingredients in Italian cooking.
Each Italian region has its own recipes and cooking methods. Even the traditional food like pizza and pasta are cooked differently in each region. For instance, a Lasagne dish in Naples does not contain béchamel sauce as served in the rest of Italy. Polpette is served along with Lasagne in Naples whereas it is mince or salami or eggs that come with Lasagne in other places.
The Italian food items are greatly influenced by the regional factors. For example, food items at Naples are prepared as per Greek tradition, and this is because this city was founded by the Greeks.
Tuscany is the most famous Italian coastal town with tourist attractions.
Tuscany is also most sought for its delicious dishes like, Seasoned Sparingly along with Basil, Thyme and Parsley. Like most Italian food items Tuscan bread also comes with little olive oil. Tuscan also provides a plenty of seafood items.
At Abruzzo a small time Middle Eastern town chili peppers are added almost in every Italian cooking items. Here also one can get varieties of seafood items with Italian favor. Like most of the Italian regions in Abruzzo also Pasta is the main course. In some regions people use stew or entrée as main course.
Sardinia a western coastal town of Italy is not only famous for majestic mountainous landscape, but also is very famous for its sea food dishes.
Sardinia’s delicious sea foods and meat dishes are prepared with spiced fennel and saffron. Apart from Italian men other countrymen line Greeks, Spaniards and French make Sardinia as their home town due to its rich tradition and delicious Italian food items. Stews, Pastas and cheese are made from goat milk as the main cuisine for Sardinians.
Central Italy that contains cities like Rome and Florence is known for their rich traditional Italian cooking varieties. Porchetta that contains pig meat stuffed along with rosemary and fennel is the most famous Italian dish in this region. The alternative stuffing in Porchetta is pork, black truffles, porcini mushrooms and lamb.
The whole of Italian cooking is featured by the abundance usage of fish, olive oil, peppers, fresh vegetables, and many more items that serve as a tasty dish and also is very good for health as it contains the best nutrients.
